Throughout the year, we’ll keep the competitive spirit alive with a range of events, featuring both team challenges and individual competitions.
Club
Championships
This has proved a great success for the past two seasons, so we’ll be doing it again for 2025. The format runs throughout the whole of the year and rewards a high attendance to Business Golf Group meetings and away trips.
For the 11 monthly meetings from January to November and the 4 away trips, we award points to the top 10 players on the day. Whoever finishes 1st receives 12pts, 2nd 10pts, 3rd 8pts, 4th 7pts, all the way down to 10th place getting 1pt. At the end of the year your ‘best 8’ scores will be added together to give a final total. Highest scoring player at the end of the year will be crowned our Club Champion for 2025!
Prizes – Our winner will receive the infamous ‘Club Championship’ decanter trophy and bottle chosen by the previous winner. The 3 runners up (so 2nd, 3rd and 4th) will join our winner in representing Business Golf Group at an all paid for 4 Ball Open in 2026 (Venue/Date TBC).

Summer League / Matchplay Cup
We’ll be giving the Summer League and Matchplay Cup a break in 2025. It’s fair to say a lot of our members play a lot of golf in the summer and squeezing in the time for yet another comp seems a bit too much for most!
Our beautiful ‘Summer Trophy’ will now be transferred to become the new ‘Autumn Tour Champion’ – so it will be available to win at the Forest of Arden this year!
New for 2025!
Christmas scramble
Slightly different for 2025… There will be no Club Championship points awarded for our December meet. Instead, it will be Christmas jumpers, bags full of booze and a fun Christmas Texas Scramble Competition!
